A journey through vintage books, rare treasures and historic architecture

A journey through vintage books, rare treasures and historic architecture
On Sunday 2 August, the splendid Villa Mirra in Cavriana once again became a magnet for collectors, keen readers and the simply curious.

The portico and the villa’s various rooms hosted the famous ‘Libri sotto i Portici’ event, attracting dozens of exhibitors and a large crowd eager to lose themselves in the pages of history.

Amidst the stalls and historic arches, visitors were able to browse through:
  • Vintage volumes and great classics, rediscovering the beauty of the great works of the past.
  • Hard-to-find comics and antique prints – veritable treasures for hunters of rarities.
  • Second-hand and collectable books, suitable for every kind of reader.

Villa Mirra: a cultural hub

Much more than just a backdrop, Villa Mirra has reaffirmed its role as a dynamic, multi-purpose cultural hub. Strolling amongst the stalls beneath the arcades and inside the residence has allowed locals and visitors alike to enjoy a well-rounded experience, combining a love of literature with the discovery of Cavriana’s historical and architectural heritage.

Villa Mirra has once again proved itself to be the beating heart of our cultural offering, a true hub capable of combining the beauty of our historical heritage with wide-ranging initiatives.

— Matteo Guardini, Mayor of Cavriana
